Among the distinctive highlights of the mosque is the world's largest carpet, German chandeliers encrusted with Swarovski crystals and architectural styles influenced by Badshahi Mosque in Lahore and the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca.

A spectacular vision, the Sheikh Zayed Bridge is an important landmark in the city of Abu Dhabi. The bridge has been named after the country's chief builder and past president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The bridge is almost 842 meters long, and is believed to be the most complicated bridge ever constructed with its curved arches representing the desert sand dunes.

Also known as, the white or old fort, this palace is the oldest historical building of Abu Dhabi. Built-in 1761 by the ruling Al-Nahyan family, it is located on Sheik Zayed First Street, in the centre of Abu Dhabi. This fort remained the royal palace and the seat of government until 1966.
The fort itself is not open to the public, but great pictures can be taken from the grounds surrounding it. The area also accommodates the popular Cultural Foundation centre, which hosts a number of art, music and film events each year.

A first of its kind, the Aldar Headquarters Building is an interesting example of modern architecture, where the building is constructed in a circular shape. The building is situated in the Al Raha area and was selected as the ‘Best Futuristic Design’ at a conference held in Spain. Aldar Headquarters was designed by the MZ Architects and is inspired by the circle which symbolizes unity, rationality and stability.

The capital gate, also known as the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi is a uniquely designed skyscraper in Abu Dhabi, that is constructed with a slight tilt in one direction. The 35 stories building leans 18° in the westward direction and is one of the tallest buildings in Abu Dhabi. It is the business capital of UAE and holds the five Star’ Hyatt Capital Gate’ hotel in its site. Constructed with the help of modern engineering technique, called the pre-cambering, this structure has earned the title of ‘World’s furthest leaning man-made tower’.
